Come on in! Welcome to our home.

We are Daniel and Lindsay Madsen. We have been married for twelve years and have been blessed with four wonderful children, whom we homeschool. We enjoy gardening, preserving, and learning new things.

Two years ago, we decided to sell our beautiful house in a suburb neighborhood and moved to a 20-acre farm in the country where we could live out our dreams. Dreams to be more self-sufficient and raise animals. Dreams to grow and learn as a family.

It was a hard decision and has been an adventure! We now raise mini-horses, donkeys, steers, sheep, chickens, ducks, and quail. The video below documents our move and is very dear to our hearts. We hope you enjoy sharing our stories and memories. It has been a hard and exciting journey that life has taken us on. We wouldn’t trade it for the world.
