GreenStalk Planter
For Mother’s Day, my family gifted me the GreenStalk Original planter. This was my solution to not knowing where to put our strawberry patch. We would grow them on our deck in this planter and that planter could be moved around or switched out.
This ended up making me happy all summer long. We filed the top half of the planter with Honeoye Strawberries and then added fun items like borage, elephant kale, and a few tomato plants to the bottom.
It was a great conversation piece, produced a good amount of food, and looked pretty on our deck. I still have friends tell me how funny it was that I was trying to make them eat edible flowers right off my deck.
I LOVE MY GreenStalk Planter and think that this would make a GREAT GIFT! You can get $10 off by using my link: GreenStalk Friend Referral Link.
Roo Garden Apron
The Roo Garden Apron comes in many colors and styles. It is made of thick, water-resistant nylon that is easy to clean. This apron will is a great way to become hands-free in the garden.
Cute Gathering Baskets
I would check local thrift stores or garage sales for cute, sturdy baskets. Make sure they have nice handles.
Clyde’s Garden Planner Slide Chart

A Dibber Tool
Have you heard of the Dibber Tool? This one was new to me but was recommended by a friend. This tool can be used to plant seeds, bulbs, and replant seedlings. According to reviewers, this particular model can cut through even clay-like soils like butter. I can see this being incredibly helpful for planting garlic, shallots, and flower bulbs. The Dibber Tool coms in several sizes and most have a ruler on the side to help you with depth. This would make a great stocking stuffer. I am adding this to my list!
Garden Shoes
I love these Mucksters- They are great for the hot summer days and keep the dirt out of your feet. They are also extremely comfortable and have slip-resistant bottoms. Great for men and women. If you are looking for more feminine details, you can get these boots in black with purple or pink details.
Orchard Drying Rack
The question that plagues gardeners every year after a successful harvest is, “Now what do I do with all these veggies.” You can preserve them, sell them, and give them to friends. But chances are you also want a place to keep and dry your root veggies. This Orchard Drying Rack is not only cute but is a great way to store those root veggies and save on space.
Flower Jewelry
These Sterling Silver Circle Drop Earrings are so pretty. They come in different styles and colors and have a matching necklace too.

A portable greenhouse
My brother-in-law bought me one similar to this when we were just at the beginning of our homesteading journey. I didn’t ask for it, I didn’t expect it, but I did use it… and loved it! The plastic has since then ripped but the shelves are still being used for seed starting. For those gardeners who can’t wait to get their hands in the soil and start to grow things before the snow is off the ground, this would be a great gift!
If a greenhouse is not an option then this seed starting kit (with the addition of a heating pad) would be another great step. And don’t forget some seeds. Look for unique varieties and different colors.
Books
There are so many wonderful Gardening Books out there. I think that books always make great gifts! Below are a few of our favorites.
Backyard Winter Gardening by Caleb Warnock–
The Backyard Homestead: Produce all the food you need on just a quarter acre!
I read this book from front to back this last year and learned A TON!!! Definitely, a book that every gardener should have on their shelves. I prefer the newer editions.
Gift Certificates to their favorite Seed Company or Garden Supply Center
When in doubt, a gift card to their favorite seed company or Garden Supply Center is always a good gift!
Seed Savers Exchange– I have been really happy with the seeds I purchased through them this year.
MIgardener– Most of these heirloom seeds are $.99!
Baker Creek Seeds– If your looking for some rare and unique seeds this is the place.
Jungs Garden Center– They have everything you might need all year long.
